Ürünlü 2724 Block 13-14 Parcel Civil Architecture Sample Restoration Work (Beekeeping Museum)
In line with our mission to protect and preserve Bursa's rich cultural heritage, we have successfully completed the restoration of registered civil architectural examples in the Ürünlü neighborhood of Nilüfer district. With this meaningful project we carried out with Nilüfer Municipality, historical buildings were transformed into "Beekeeping Museum" and social living spaces while preserving their original identity.

Description of the Work: Conversion and restoration of registered historical buildings into Beekeeping Museum

Purpose and Scope of the Project
This project aimed to revive the historical buildings that were used as "Apiaries" about 150 years ago, a rare tradition in Anatolia. Our company has carried out a meticulous restoration work to transfer this unique cultural heritage to future generations.
Within the scope of the project, the idle registered buildings were restored using methods and materials in accordance with the original and a new cultural space was brought to the city.
Works We're Carrying Out
- Preservation of the Original Architecture: Retrofitting and restoration works were carried out by remaining faithful to the historical texture of the buildings and the original architectural elements such as natural hives (niches) on the walls used for bees to make honey.
- Functional Transformation:
- The main building is organized as a museum where the history of honey and beekeeping is exhibited chronologically.
- The other buildings are planned as workshops where trainings such as handicrafts and painting will be given to the people of the region, especially women and children.
- In addition, various literary talks and workshops are organized in a section allocated to the Bursa Literature and Art Association (BUYAZ).
- Modern and Functional Spaces: With the restoration works, the buildings have been transformed into modern and functional spaces that both preserve their historical value and meet today's needs.
Result of the Project
As a result of the meticulous work of our company, these historical buildings in Ürünlü Neighborhood have been revived under the name "Bee House". The project is more than just a restoration work, it has become an important center that adds vitality to the social and cultural life of the region and brings together education and art. We are proud to have preserved this valuable heritage and brought it to Bursa.
