Project Description:
Misi Neighborhood is one of the important regions of Bursa that preserves its cultural and historical heritage and stands out with its traditional Ottoman civil architecture examples. Within the scope of this project, two Civil Architecture Examples (CIA) wooden frame buildings were restored.
The following works were carried out during the restoration process:
- Detailed survey and analysis of existing structures
- Repair and strengthening operations for the protection of the original architectural texture
- Reinforcement of the wooden carcass carrier system and replacement of missing parts in accordance with the original
- Facade and roof restoration, use of traditional materials and techniques
- Environmentally friendly solutions to make structures long-lasting and durable
- Restoration of paint, coating and window details in accordance with the historical texture of the region
This project is an important conservation work to keep the historical heritage of Bursa alive and aims to transfer the cultural values of Misi Neighborhood to future generations.
