Project Description:

Gölyazı Neighborhood of Bursa, which stands out with its historical and cultural texture, is an important settlement area dating back to ancient times. Within the scope of this project, the restoration of Civil Architecture Example (CCA) wooden frame building was carried out in order to preserve the traditional architectural values of the region.

The works carried out during the restoration process are as follows:

• Preparation of detailed survey, restitution and restoration projects of the building
• Reinforcement of the wooden carcass carrier system and completion of missing elements in accordance with the original
• Facade and roof renovation, repair works with traditional techniques
• Reinforcement solutions to increase the static strength of the structure
• Selection of materials suitable for the natural texture and realization of the restoration by remaining faithful to the original architectural elements
• Restoration practices in accordance with cultural heritage standards in order to protect the historical texture of the region

This project has been an important step in protecting the historical and architectural heritage of Gölyazı and bringing it to tourism.
