Project Description:

Bursa's Gölyazı Neighborhood, one of the most important residential areas in terms of historical and cultural heritage, draws attention with its traditional Ottoman civil architecture examples. Within the scope of this project, the restoration of the Civil Architecture Example (CCA) wooden frame building was carried out and the original architectural identity of the building was preserved.

The restoration work includes the following stages:

• Preparation of the building survey, restitution and restoration projects
• Reinforcement of the timber frame structural system by detailed analysis
• Performing facade and roof repairs with materials and techniques appropriate to the original
• Conservation practices to increase the durability of the structure
• Revitalization of original wood and stone workmanship in order to preserve the historical fabric
• Sensitive restoration of original details to preserve the cultural heritage of the region

This project has made an important contribution to preserving the historical texture of Gölyazı and transferring it to future generations.
