Project Description:
One of the important examples of Bursa's historical residential texture, the Civil Architecture Example (CCA) wooden frame building in Selimzade Neighborhood contains the original details of the traditional Ottoman residential architecture that has survived from the past to the present. With the restoration work carried out in 2018, the building was preserved and re-functionalized in accordance with its historical identity.
Major works carried out within the scope of restoration:
- Preparation of the building survey, restitution and restoration projects
- Reinforcement of timber frame elements in the load-bearing system by analyzing
- Conservation of facade claddings and plasters, preservation of original materials
- Repair and waterproofing of the roof covering
- Restoration of interior architectural details in accordance with the original
- Taking necessary maintenance and protection measures for the longevity of the structure
This project has been an important step as part of the efforts to preserve the civil architectural heritage of Bursa and transfer it to future generations.
